Train your young horse to become a safe and enjoyable riding companion.
Everything centers on communication and connection with your horse. Step by step, we will guide you on how to achieve this.
The key to success
To become a proficient horseman or horsewoman, you need knowledge, skill, confidence, perseverance, resilience, determination, passion and empathy. Equipped with these attributes, you will transform into an effective instructor for your horse. When you establish clear and understandable communication, you open the door to limitless opportunities.
Love, Language and Leadership
Love
To truly connect with a horse, we must empathize with its nature and appreciate it as a pure and natural being. As the ones seeking a relationship with the horse, we need to cultivate a bond built on love and understanding, ensuring it is both enjoyable and safe for both. Striking a balance between love, language, and leadership is essential.
Language
Humans do not speak the language of horses and do not physically resemble them. To foster mutual understanding, we must prioritize non-verbal communication, mirroring how horses communicate with each other
Leadership
Living as a prey animal is inherently frightening for horses, and this primal instinct remains strong in them. For horses to become reliable partners, they must overcome their inherent fears. Our first task is to prove ourselves as trustworthy partners, regardless of the situation. By being kind, clear, and consistent, we earn their trust and respect. Horses respond best not to coercion, but to genuine partnership.
Our mission is to share the art of horsemanship with fellow horse enthusiasts, enabling them to achieve their equestrian dreams while prioritizing the well-being of their horses. Working with horses is a continuous learning journey. Over the years, I have realized how much more I could have gained both personally and professionally if I had embraced horsemanship earlier. I want to ensure that you don't have the same regrets.
The exercises and training principles we teach are inspired by renowned horsemanship specialists such as Pat Parelli, Buck Brannaman, and Karen Rohlf. Techniques will vary for each horse, as horsemanship demands flexibility, keen observation, dedication, and trust in the process. This journey will have its ups and downs, and making mistakes is part of the learning curve. We are committed to supporting you every step of the way.
